Alameda County Community Food Bank's mission is the pursuit of a hunger free community with a vision of Alameda County children, adults and seniors not having to worry about where their next meal will come from. They partner with over 200 programs and non-profits to distribute millions of pounds of food each year and work to end
child and student hunger by providing support to school meal programs and stocking college pantries, which reaches thousands of low-income children, teens and college students each day. The Alameda County Community Food Bank team advocates to end poverty while providing nutritious food to the community.

Community Housing Works develops, rehabilitates, preserves and operates affordable apartment communities statewide and has been providing services for over 30 years. They currently own 3,600 apartments in 42 communities which serves more than 9,000 working families, children and seniors. CHW also offers programs, services and resources to help attain financial stability, improve health and overall well-being, and set school-age children up for success in the classroom and beyond. CHW provides a strong and engaged community where their residents can achieve more.

Feeding America’s network of food banks receives and safely stores donated food and grocery products. This food is then distributed through food pantries and meal programs that serve families, children, seniors and individuals at risk of hunger. Each $1 donated will provide 10 meals through the network of food banks. Feeding America provided 3.6 billion meals to people in need last year. They also support programs that help food security for those served, help educate the public about the problem of hunger and advocate for legislation to protect people from going hungry.
